Janelle Monae, Kansas City raised, moved to New York City to pursue a career in theatre, but she soon learned she had a calling for music. Soon after she moved to Atlanta she was discovered by Big Boi from Outkast.
(Of course, maybe that is why after watching her video for Many Moons she reminded me of Andre 3000 in Hey ya!) With other creative musical minded artists, she founded the Wondaland Arts Society.
Her Music ranges from feel good party music, to motivational, all the way to the simplest of simples love song. ("You are my everything")
