Black Thoughts 2

Tyga is a cool dude from YMCMB (YoungMoney CashMoney Baby) but at the same time deep. His Mix-tape Black thoughts was fantastic and had a really cool theme. Black Thoughts included old beats and new school beats which made him a more versatile artist. Adele has been puttin' in work round the industry and has samples being used by Wale and Childish Gambino. Tyga and Adele create a track-mind blowing in my opinion, called "Reminded". Enjoy............(Christopher Colas).

The longest text message

Childish gained my respect. Supposedly he did this song when he was so drunk that he didn't remember he made it. Luckily, he eventually did. Im lovin the drums in the beat. Check it out.......(Matt Farmer)

My Last Video

Big is back with his latest video. Swag levels are off the scale. (LOL). Big Sean sports TI$A really well. He's probably the trendsetter for the brand anyway. The song however, is great. Great lyrics and a cool chorus makes this track sick. Chris Brown's new dew is also pretty fitting. He's doing a lot right now, and both artists are on the verge of releasing there album's. More importantly this is Big's debut album, so he has to go hard with great songs. Because Im a fan of Big i know he won't fail me. Anyways.......Enjoy...........(Christopher Colas).

Long Beach Legend

Although Nate Dogg may have been overshadowed by other West Coast artists such as Dr. Dre, Ice Cube and his cousin Snoop, he was still a very big part in the West Coast movement. Just listen. Here are two of my favorite Nate Dogg songs. R.I.P. (Leon)

Freshmen

Yelawolf, Kendrick Lamar, Lil B, and CyHi da Prynce on the XXL Freshman Cypher. What else needs to be said? Oh yea Lil B kills it by the way..(Leon)

Hometown

Big Sean's latest video for his mixtape hit "Hometown" dropped recently. As a Kanye fan, I'm proud to say I love everyone on the GOOD Music label (Getting Out Our Dreams). Big Sean in particular is part of my top 3 of Good Music rappers. He's come far and he's simply paying homage to where he was raised and the city he reps. Enjoy..........(Christopher Colas).

All Day

This group Kooley High is sick. They represent a true spoken word type of rap. The second verse is fantastic. Only 3 MC's are rapping in this song, but there are actually a total of 6 people in the group. The six consist of 5 rapers and 1 Dj. The instrumental is also classy and jazzy. Overall score is......DOPE!! Enjoy........(Christopher Colas).

Best Day Ever

Mac Miller is deffinately an artist with a heavy following now. His latest mixtape dropped today-entitled "Best Day Ever". The first track really caught my attention with it's fantasy sounding jingles. Download it ==>here<== and Enjoy..........(Christopher Colas).

Fly Away

This is Rocketeer by Far East Movement. Lyrically, the song is a mediocre rap, but that chorus line, courtesy of Ryan Tedder is excellent. This song is BEGGING for a remix, where are Drizzy and 'Ye when you need em? Take a Look (Matt Farmer)

Say Whats Real

This is a music video made by three little girls. In it they are complaining about lil Waynes negative lyrics in his music. This puts me at an impasse, you see, I partially agree with them, Lil Wayne helps to make rap an easy target to special interest groups. His music is very explicit, and I can't argue with that. But Wayne's lyrics are also very abstract and in a way, its an artform. Go and listen to six foot seven a couple posts down and see what I mean. Honestly though, the girls singing this song are between 5 and 10 years old, so really, if they, or their parents are intelligent enough to criticize this music, then they should realize that Lil Wayne is not meant for 5 year olds anyway. I feel like rap is always the music industrie's whipping boy, why not go after death metal and punk rock? There has been a link between certain punk rock and emo songs and suicide. And some death metal lyrics are just as bad, and border more on violence than todays rap. So, while these girls are right, maybe they should just go back to watching Dora the Explorer, and whatever else 5 year olds do.(Matt Farmer)

Grasp the Concept

The weather has given me the opportunity to check out more of the surrounding areas of the city. I had seen some of Boston before, but i was blown away by the sights I saw on my travels. I visited Harvard (and I was reminded on why I'm happy I didn't apply there) and the Cambridge area, as well as the outskirts of Boston. Cambridge, is like a mini Manhattan, just cleaner, and quieter. The best part though, I discovered a sneaker store, one that specializes in exclusives. Its called CONCEPTS. Take a peek....(Matt Farmer)

Free Throws

Check out this new video from The Cool Kids called "Free Throws". If you don't listen to them normally, don't be alarmed by their old school flow...Enjoy............(Christopher Colas).

6 Foot 7 Foot Video

Wayne releases his video for "6 Foot 7 Foot". I really find this video pretty sick. Of course Wayne's verse as well as Cory Gunz goes extremely HARD!!!! The visuals are ridiculous, this is one of Weezy's abstract works. It's all good in my eyes though. Enjoy...........(Christopher Colas).

All Black Everything

I love strings in music and especially when Lupe Fiasco's voice aids those same strings. His latest EP Lasers is going to be nuts!!! It's long awaited and I can't personally wait. This track "All Black Everything" is deep and esoteric-like all his music. But like always..........Enjoy............(Christopher Colas).

DID I DO THAT!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?

At one point the Steve Urkel look was big NO, but now it seems that everyone dresses like Urkel whether they know it or not. Whether its suspenders, skinny jeans, a plaid shirt, a bow tie, or the new favorite a cardigan Urkel has worn it all. So at this time i would like to pay homage to Urkel for paving the way for fashion and style today.
